Yakimix

Yakimix is my favorite eat-all-you-can restaurant to date.  They have a lot of branches like in MOA and Trinoma but I have only tried their Greenbelt branch.

I love the food. I love the smokeless grill. I love the food choices especially the sushi bar and desserts.  The price is also just right for an eat all you can.

Picture taking on the food area is not allowed.  Sharing what I have.

We will definitely visit Yakimix over and over again.

Chef d' Angelo - Eat-All-You-Can

My friend and I was able to try Chef d’ Angelo’s Eat All You Can at Robinson’s Place Ermita a few days ago.  For only P175, you can enjoy salad, pizza, pasta, soup and rice meals as long as you can.  Choices for salad are ceasar’s and potato salad.  Pasta sauces can be tuna alfredo, tomato with mushroom and chicken alfredo.  For the rice meals, viands are fish fillet with sauce and buttered vegetables.  The soup was cream of asparagus. We added P50 for bottomless soft drink. With a total of P225, it’s so sulit!

David's Tea House

Our family is a regular visitor of David’s Tea House in Dasmariñas, Cavite.  Occasionally, it’s nice to eat something different aside from regular fast food readily available.  Since our child learned how to eat, we always consider him when dining out.  Of course we also wanted him to enjoy the food.  He is not a picky eater.  He eats almost everything but he has moods in eating.  With David’s Tea House, there are foods that my kid loves to it.

The service in its Dasmariñas branch is good and fast.

Our favorite order:
Daddy's favorite appetizer - Spicy Chicken Feet
Yang Chow Fried Rice
Beef with Broccoli Flower
Pancit Canton
Watermelon Shake
We also like their Crispy Fried Chicken and Siomai that I failed to take a photo of it.

Quezon Province Favorite Foods

I am not preggy but my taste buds are recently craving for my favorite foods in Quezon Province, the foods that I grew up with.  I would like to eat any of the following (asap! :)):

Budin (Cassava Cake)
My favorite afternoon snack since I was a kid.  A mom usually brings home plenty of this from the market every weekend.  I like its softness and creaminess.  I like the edges of the cassava cake though they are usually dark, they are sweet.

Broas (Ladyfinger)
I remember when I was a kid, it was popular every Christmas season.  But now, they are readily available anywhere in Quezon even in the leading supermarkets.

Pansit Lucban (Pansit Habhab)
Pansit Lucban is my favorite merienda after school.  It is popularly known as pansit habhab since it is placed in banana leaves and eaten without spoon and fork.  It is best when poured with vinegar.

Meringue
This is so sweet but I love to eat this while chitchatting with my cousins.

Thanks to Buddy's, I will eat pansit habhab tonight! Yehey! :)

Kitchen Visit: No-Bake Blueberry Cheesecake

I was searching for something to do for the long weekend last week and I bumped into this blog:
http://www.maruism.com/2012/02/24/recipe-no-bake-blueberry-cheesecake/.  I printed it and cut out the picture of the ingredients and bought the exact brand in The Landmark grocery.

With my cousin, we tried it last Holy Thursday.  It was a simple recipe.  We just did some modifications; we doubled everything except for the blueberry filling and we did not put in nutmeg and cinnamon powder.  Here’s our version:

NO-BAKE BLUEBERRY CHEESECAKE

Crust:
3 cups graham cracker crumbs
2 tablespoon sugar
1 bar softened butter

Cheesecake filling:
bricks cream cheese
2 bricks all purpose cream
1 cup sugar
3 tablespoons liquid milk
2 tablespoon unflavored gelatin (2 sachet of Knox)

Topping:
1 can Comstock
 Blueberry pie filling

The result:
So yummy! Not bad for a first timer!
